Update on Chinese fruit shops project

Update on Chinese fruit shops project

Many of you will be aware that the Chinese Poll Tax Heritage Trust has commissioned a book on Chinese fruit shops in New Zealand. Since starting the project in August 2014, we have made good progress. Thank you to those who have already sent in your story or have been interviewed.
To ensure that this significant part of New Zealand Chinese history is not lost, we need your help. There is still time to participate if you act now. Talk to family members, find some photos and write down your memories. If you already have a questionnaire that is waiting to be filled in, do it now and get it back to us. If you prefer to talk to us, let us know and we can arrange to interview you.
The deadline for receiving stories is 31 December 2015. Don’t leave it too late and regret it.
