We will be doing CHRISTMAS HAMPERS this year, and this year the money will go to the “STROKE FOUNDATION”.
If
you are coming on the trip on Saturday 21st November, please bring
along non perishable goods with you and pass them on to Nancy Young or
Jessie Kum on the day, e.g. canned foods, groceries, wine, biscuits,
etc. (please check the expiry date). If you have unwanted cane baskets
for making up gift baskets, please bring these along with you.
We would like to thank everyone who bring donated goods for the Christmas Hamper.
NZCA - WOMEN’S GROUP
Our final meeting for 2015 will be a trip to Gordonton visiting CORNERSTONE ALPACAS STUD FARM and ZEALONG TEA ESTATE on Saturday 21st November.
We will be visiting the following places:
CORNERSTONE ALPACA STUD FARM. There will be a talk about the alpacas. The visit includes touching and feeding the Alpacas, taking photos, touching and feeling alpaca fibre, visiting the farm shop, etc. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be supplied after the presentation.
A new baby alpaca was born on 26 October, I’m sure you will enjoy meeting her.
FOLLOWED BY A TRIP TO ZEALONG TEA ESTATE. This includes a tour around the Estate, videos, tea ceremony and tea tasting, enjoy a cup of Chinese tea and purchase packets of Chinese tea to take home.
Cost of this trip is $70.00 - which includes the cost for the bus trip, entrance to Alpacas Stud Farm and a tour at Zealong Tea Estate.
Please bring your own lunch and drinks,
or buy lunch at New Woodlands Café in Gordonton. We will stop at the
café, and if weather is fine we can sit outside to eat our lunch.
Please note that the bus will be arriving outside Meadowbank Community Centre, 29 St Johns Road, Meadowbank (next to Barfoot & Thompson) at 8.15am and leaving 8.45am SHARP.
Please book early by Monday 16th November at the latest to avoid disappointment.

Ginette Wang
A great exhibition and a very interesting
demonstration of brush painting by Ginette Wang
was enjoyed by members of NZCA Women's Group at
Meadowbank Community Centre
on Saturday 17th October.
Ginette has been teaching
art/language/craft for many years
and she teaches at Mairangi Arts Centre and organize her own
workshops.
