Yum Char

REMINDER

NZCA – WOMEN’S GROUP

July meeting will be held on

Saturday 20^th July 2013

12.30 to 2.30pm

At New Lucky Star Restaurant, 125 Great South Road, Papatoetoe for Yum Char

A mid-winter yum char will be held. This is a good chance for people to get together and enjoy 12 dishes with Chinese tea.

Invite everyone you know. Friends, family, partners, neighbours are most welcomed, the more the merrier, there will be 12 dishes, cost is $16.00 per person

Shiu Mai, Prawn Dumplings, Egg Tarts, Savour Dumpling, Turnip Cake, Beef Rice Roll, Deep Fried Squid, Combination Fried Noodles, Fried Rice, Spiced Tofu, Green Beans, BBQ Pork Buns (steamed)

If you are interested in attending, please book by Wednesday 10^th July at the latest. Invite everyone you know. Friends, family, partners, neighbours are most welcomed, the more the merrier, there will be 12 dishes, cost is $16.00 per person

We are also inviting ladies from Hamilton, will be a good chance for everyone to catch up

Should you require transportation, please let us know 10 days in advance so that we can make arrangements for you to be picked up and returned home.

If you are unable to attend on the day, please find someone to replace you otherwise you will be charged for your seat.

Jean Griffiths speaks at Wm’s Gp, 15 June 2013

Here are some photos I took at the meeting yesterday. Jean, the Chinese adoptee gave an interesting talk and had photos to show. I tried to take photos of the photos on the big screen, but they haven’t come out clearly. Some of the photos were taken at her orphanage in the early 1960s, the latter coloured photos were taken at their reunion trip to HK and China in 2010.
