Sylvia Park Rest Home

IT’S TIME TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE

Some ladies have volunteered to give up there time to do some baking and visit Sylvia Park Rest Home Ltd at 26 Longford Street, Mt Wellington, on Saturday 9^th February.

Happy New Year

Our first meeting for 2013 will be a picnic BBQ at Cornwall Park on Saturday 16th February 2013, 12.00pm

Women’s group will supply sausages, marinated chicken pieces, bread, tomato sauce, paper plates, cups, serviettes, members please bring juice, tea coffee, salads, baking, games etc

Unfortunately we are limited to 50 persons at the BBQ

Just to let you know I visited The Cornwall Park Information Centre on Friday to confirm our booking, only to be told that we cannot use any of the Gas BBQ’s, as they have a major problems with them, However, we can still use the Wood BBQ’s. Best way to get to the BBQ area is from Greenlane Road “Main Entrance” drive ahead and turn left just past the Band Rotunda and go around about, there is a parking area there. You are more than welcome to earlier if you wish.

If you do get lost, you can contact me on my mobile, some of us will be at the BBQ area early, around 11.00ish, just in case someone gets lost.

Also if you can bring a portable Gas BBQ with you, would appreciate it very much

Members who have booked for Dinner on Sunday 17th February at Imperial Garden Restaurant. I will be bring the tickets with me to hand over, would appreciate if you also bring money with you $35.00 per person, otherwise it will be a mad house on the night of dinner. Thanks.

BBQ area is on Grand Drive, best way to enter is from Campbell Road entrance (Onehunga Mall, turn into Grand Drive or Rawhiti Road, turn into Bollard Ave and turn left into Grand Drive)

CHARITY

NZCA – WOMEN’S GROUP

TIME TO DO SOME CHARITY

Looking for some volunteers to help the elderly start Chinese New Year celebrations, we will be taking a plate for morning tea to approx 45 residents (mainly Chinese) at Sylvia Park Rest home, 26 Longford Street, Mt Wellington, on Saturday 9 February 2013.

We already have some volunteers who will be making some Chinese finger food, Chinese steam cake, sago dumpling, also we would like extra volunteers to help out. If there is anyone who wishes to make a plate, please contact Myra as soon as possible, (details below).

Its that time of the year again, year of the “SNAKE” NZCA have organised a dinner on Sunday 17^th February at Imperial Garden Restaurant, 12-26 Swanson Street @ 6.30pm, cost is $35 for Adults, Children (under 12) $25, BYO.
